Job Title : SCITT Operations Manager
The Southern Colorado Institute of Transportation Technology (SCITT) is a state-sponsored institute located at Colorado State University Pueblo. The mission and vision of the Institute is to become a versatile and responsive leader in education, training, and research that supports transformative transportation solutions. The Institute's current interests include ground and intermodal transportation systems' innovation, safety, and security.
The SCITT Operations Manager reports directly to the Director of SCITT and works with faculty and colleagues for the smooth operation of all SCITT education, training, and workforce development activities. This role also involves outreach activities, supporting lab work, coordinating field trips, and providing student support. Additionally, the coordinator will assist with administrative tasks and grant management to ensure smooth operations and project implementation. This position plays a critical role in providing high-quality educational experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of training initiatives. So, proficiency in project management, familiarity with training or event management systems, and excellent communication skills are essential. This position also requires close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver effective and engaging educational experiences.
Primary Duties
- SCITT Training Coordination and Management Organize and coordinate training events, seminars, and conferences; schedule trainings, recruit students, answer phone calls, receive students, support lab work, arrange field trips, purchasing, and student support.
- SCITT Curriculum Coordination and Management Collaboratively work with the Director of SCITT and potential outside instructional design contractors, including assisting with technology agreements and working with instructional partner companies, to design, deliver, maintain, update, and assess curriculum.
- SCITT Project Operations and Outreach Provide project management as needed by SCITT, and complete outreach tasks such as communication with potential students; preparation of flyers and their distribution; social media outreach, present at community events, etc.
- Report Preparation and Delivery Draft and edit comprehensive grant reports, incorporating input from team members and aligning with grant requirements. Assist with project delivery efforts by creating communication materials and supporting the dissemination of project results to stakeholders.
- Administrative Management Organize and schedule team meetings, prepare agendas, and document detailed meeting minutes. Manage project-related records, maintain organized documentation systems, and ensure accessibility of project files for team members.
- Milestone Management Facilitate team collaboration by coordinating activities to meet project milestones. Track progress on deliverables, follow up on pending tasks, and ensure timelines are adhered to. Act as a liaison between stakeholders to promote efficient communication.
Salary Range $25,000 - $28,500 / year for this 0.5 FTE position.
