Job Description
Pride Health is hiring PICU RN→ Hospital to support our client’s medical facility based in Madison, Wisconsin. This contract opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care in a Pediatric ICU and Cardiac Step-Down unit
Care for critically ill pediatric patients with medical and surgical conditions including cardiac, neuro, pulmonary, and transplant cases
Manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, ECMO, CRRT, and other critical care equipment
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms; pass telemetry competency testing before start
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver family-centered care
Float between PICU, CVICU, and general care units as staffing needs require
Work day shifts : 4x12-hour shifts (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM), Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and some holidays required
Complete a 36-hour orientation and pass required pre-start exams
Requirements
Minimum 2 years acute care experience in pediatric ICU or CVICU within the last 3 years
Wisconsin RN license or compact license from permanent address state (license must be active at submission)
Certifications : BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
EPIC charting experience within the last 12 months preferred
Basic arrhythmia knowledge; must pass telemetry exam with strict passing criteria (two attempts max)
Telemetry competency must be maintained during contract
Ability to float between units and locations within the organization
Must live within 50 miles of the facility (local candidates not accepted)
No references required or accepted for submission
Willingness to work assigned shifts including some weekends and holidays
