The Sr. Project Engineer provides leadership, communicates business goals, and supports team management and coordination for engineered solutions. This role drives performance and quality within the engineering team to ensure all activities meet short- and long-term business goals. The position involves customer engagement with integrity and respect, problem-solving, and the execution of objectives for both individual and team success. Remote and hybrid work options are available, with travel required up to 25%.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership to achieve safety, quality, on-time delivery, and retention goals.

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across diverse and cross-cultural teams.

Drive the teams technical expertise to expand business opportunities.

Plan, execute, and oversee multi-discipline control systems projects.

Travel domestically up to 25% or as needed for customer site visits.

Qualifications

Required

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying SCADA solutions (e.g., Zenon / ZEE600 or similar), including HMI creation, alarming, trending, and reporting.

Proven expertise in control system architecture and integration, including PLCs, HMIs, communication protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, OPC), and RTUs.

Proficiency in PLC programming (ABB AC500 / PM, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Emerson) for power and industrial automation.

Strong background in testing, commissioning (FAT / SAT), troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis in SCADA / automation environments.

Solid understanding of industrial networking, VLANs, firewalls, and cybersecurity in SCADA systems.

Knowledge of UL, IEEE, and IEC standards related to control systems, with familiarity in NERC-CIP for power projects.
