Job Summary / Description :

WFIE dominates news and weather in the Tri-State, and now we are looking for a strong anchor here in Evansville, Indiana, who can help us grow that lead into the future. We are looking for a strong, engaged, animated communicator who can mesh with our incredible team.

Duties / Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Must be a leader in the newsroom and excel at breaking news coverage from the studio and in the field.
• Must be aggressive and consistent with coverage online and with social media on all platforms.
• Must be skilled to shoot & edit their own stories and employ digital-first strategies.
• Must be able to produce newscasts when needed.
• Exceptional planning, developing story ideas, and creative storytelling are a must.
• Must be a self-starter, demonstrate urgency in their delivery as well, and possess very strong writing skills.
