Safety Manager Industrial & Wastewater Construction (Iowa)

Location : Des Moines, IA or statewide travel within Iowa Role : We are seeking a Safety Manager to lead jobsite safety programs for multiple active commercial / industrial and wastewater construction projects. This position is responsible for implementing company safety policies, conducting inspections, training field staff, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and client requirements. Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee site safety programs, perform regular inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
• Conduct employee safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training sessions.
• Collaborate with project teams and owners to maintain a proactive safety culture.
• Maintain documentation, reporting, and audit readiness for all job sites. Qualifications :
• 5+ years of safety management experience in commercial / industrial construction.
• CHST, CSP, or OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Wastewater or heavy industrial construction safety background highly desirable.
