Transmission Planning & Studies Engineer - Junior Level

Overview

Power Engineers, Inc. is seeking junior-level Transmission Planning / Studies Engineers. This position is posted in multiple POWER office locations with the ability to work remotely from a mutually acceptable location within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with other engineers in the preparation of computer-based models and performing power system studies on utility transmission / distribution systems and industrial / commercial electrical power systems, including feasibility studies, system impact studies, reactive compensation studies, protective relay settings, critical clearing time, stability (transient & dynamic), long / short range planning studies, short circuit, load flow, motor starting, power factor correction, and other related studies.
• Self-manage with a strong conceptualization ability and strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills – including the capability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams.
