Preschool Teacher

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in caring for children through attention grabbing lessons, crafts, and outdoor play.

This person must be able to set clear rules, keep routines consistent, and handle behaviors in a calm and fair way.

Our classrooms move fast You'll be working with one other teacher and up to 16 children, so we need someone who can keep up, stay upbeat, and give full attention to the kids.

This job requires someone who can move around easily and stay active. You'll need to bend, squat, and lift children —so being physically able to keep up is important

The perfect person for this job is someone who can commit to a full-time schedule and has excellent attendance.

Being present and on time every day is a very important part of the job.

Duties

Plan fun activities that help children learn and grow.

Keep the classroom running smoothly and calm.

Handling more than one child at a time.

Keep the room clean, organized, and stocked.

Talk with families regularly, in person and through our app, Brightwheel.

Work as a team with other staff to create a happy environment.

Make kids feel excited and safe.

Give extra support to children who have special needs or need extra help.

Read 2–4 books aloud to the class every day.

Be confident enough to sing and dance with the kids

Help children wash their hands throughout the day and keep their faces clean.

Help children with bathroom needs such as pull up changes, clothing changes, wiping, etc.

Take at least 3–5 pictures of each child every day to share with families.

Watch the children closely on the playground to help keep them safe and protect the equipment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old

Must have a high school diploma or GED

Must be able to get along well with other adults and work as part of a team

Must be able to complete yearly training (16 hours online)

Must be able to pass a state background check

Must be able to pass a physical exam and TB test

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $15.00 per hour

Expected hours : 40 per week
