We are looking for a Senior Data Reliability Engineer who will bring expertise as a database administrator, strong communication skills, and eagerness to write automation and create tooling that supports our engineering organization. You will report to the Engineering Manager for DRE and will be responsible for owning and operating the database infrastructure of Calendly. You'll provide expertise on database modeling, queries, instrumentation, operation, and optimization. You'll partner with other teams to ensure their success with Calendly's relational and non-relational database systems. DRE develops high-quality low-cost tools for other Calendly teams to get the most out of our database infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing the reliability and observability of our data systems, working with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, PostgreSQL, PgBouncer, Redis, and Datadog
• Building automation and tooling to support developers and their fleet of PostgreSQL databases and Redis instances
• Collaborating with development teams to help them reach their goals and spread best practices throughout the engineering organization
• Ensuring system uptime and playing a critical role in system recovery

Compensation & Benefits

The ranges listed below are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change. Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee's starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skill sets, interview performance, location / metropolitan area, and internal pay equity. Base salary is one component of Calendly's total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours / week) employees are also eligible for our Quarterly Corporate Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.

Tier 1 Salary Hiring Range $224,400 — $283,800 USD

Tier 2 Salary Hiring Range $205,700 — $260,150 USD

Tier 3 Salary Hiring Range $187,000 — $236,500 USD
