Position Overview

The Asphalt Management Trainee program is designed to develop future leaders for Tilcon New York's plant operations. In this full-time, hands-on role, you will learn every aspect of asphalt production and paving. Working closely with Plant Managers, Supervisors, and foremen, you'll gain practical experience in both field and office environments while building the technical and leadership skills needed to advance into supervisory or management positions. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to grow within a safety-driven, performance-focused culture.

The right candidate is flexible, willing to occasionally work nights and weekends as needed, and comfortable working in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures. Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to sit, walk and stand for periods of time. The employee is required to use a computer for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust to focus. This position requires an employee to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

This job will require both office work and field work. You will be expected to frequently be exposed to outside conditions such as rain and snow. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment in the office is usually quiet.
