Job Title : Bid and Proposals Engineer (Railway and Transportation)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Bids and Proposals Engineer for Railway. In this position, you will work with the team to support acquisition and prepare tenders for turnkey Railway Power Supply System projects from the early pursuit phase through final negotiation, contract signature, and handover to the execution team. For small tenders you will conduct all tender work yourself.
Responsibilities
- Prepare reports and research markets to identify projects in the early stage and understand customer requirements.
- Support the lead for assigned tenders, with the help of interdisciplinary teams including engineering, project management, legal, commercial and supply chain management.
- Prepare and support on-time and complete technical and commercial tender submittals to the customer and provide value-added support for technical and commercial negotiations.
- Manage and prepare presentations and white papers for review with senior management.
- Develop a network with suppliers to increase market reach and ease future business.
- Collect input documentation regarding the offer / order and record assumptions and decisions taken during development of the supply / order.
- Support the tender lead in the Project Approval System and Risk Review Process in line with company policies and processes.
Experience, Education and Other Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with minimum 4-5 years' experience and around 2 years' experience in the transportation sector.In-depth experience and knowledge of preparing presentations and reports.Knowledge of processes in power supply systems sales and tendering.Experience of working with railway & urban transportation customers & system integrators.Knowledge of various industry standards and practices in various kinds of markets.Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work with cross-functional and cross-border teams and to cope with a flexible-load environment.Willingness to travel approximately 20% of working time.Fluent in English with good communication skills.What we offer
