Job Description :

The Capital Railroad Services team is looking for dynamic individuals that are highly self-motivated to join our timber preservation crew and enjoy a rewarding career, while traveling nationwide. The position involves continuous travel from job to job throughout the United States in company vehicles with rapid advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities include :

• Extensive hand shoveling / digging around ground line of timber bridges using D-handle spade / shovel, sharpshooter / shovel, crowbar and pry bar
• Apply wood preservative treatments and install plugs with hammer
• Drill holes using 1 / 2" drill and generator
• Learn to use climbing equipment (lineman gear)
• Walk up and down steep slopes on rough ground
• Inspect timber bridge and make notes about condition

Compensation : The average starting wage for this role is between $22.65 and $24.20 per hour.
