Transport Driver

JOB LOCATED IN MONROE, LA

SUMMARY

Drives diesel powered tractor trailer combination to pick up commodities used in the production of milk products and deliver finished milk or ice cream products by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Drives truck to deliver milk or ice cream products to designated destination.

Assist in loading and unloading products, if needed.

Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.

Cleans inside and outside of truck. Plugs refrigeration unit into outlet on dairy grounds when day is completed.

Maintains driver log according to I.C.C. regulation and when required.

Performs all duties in a safe way. Makes routine daily safety check of vehicle and reports any defects..

Reports all vehicle collisions or incidents to supervisor, immediately.

Assists with special projects, as necessary.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

High School or GED diploma. A minimum of 1 year of work related experience and training.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Class A CDL endorsements are a must and must be able to obtain a 1 year DOT Medical Certification
