Description :

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.

Registered Nurse license must be in hand.

Shifts are 12 hours during the night from 1845 to 0715.

Total bed capacity is 412 with a nurse to patient ratio of 1 to 2.

Common diagnoses include DKA, trauma, bronchitis, appendicitis, cellulitis, pancreatitis, osteomyelitis, diabetes, RSV, COVID-19, dehydration, fever, Kawasaki disease, Crohn's disease, BRUE, flu, and tonsillectomy.

Charting is done using Cerner.

Scrub color required is navy blue.

Floating support areas include pediatrics and neonatal intensive care.

Special procedures include central venous line care, tracheostomy care, gastrostomy tube care, ventilator care, intubation, and IV medication drips and titrations.
