The SAP Principal IT Engineer in the IT department supports the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for various products and platforms. This contract-to-hire role will be staffed as a Solution Architect within the Customer Transformation program. This role involves working on an Agile product and platform teams that requires hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and collaborating within cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Hybrid role, 3 days in office Tues / Weds / Thur
Qualifications :
Interested candidates should have in depth knowledge of SAP and deep technical experience implementing SAP systems.Specific working knowledge of SAP BTP is also required.Customer experience across a utility platform while not required, is highly encouraged.Candidates should possess strong solution-oriented skills, be able to design system architectures, and publish / follow architectural standards.Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience10+ years of IT product or platform engineering or software development experience5+ years of experience in Salesforce development5+ years of experience in SAP development5+ years of experience building and managing integration using APIs and MuleSoft7+ years’ experience as an Architect or Engineer1+ years of experience in project managementAbility to work effectively in an outsourced IT environmentExperience with and knowledge of legacy and new computing architecturesExperience with managing technology costsExperience working with a variety of technologies within a domainYour responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :
Technical Support : Assist in the design, development, and implementation of solutions for assigned technical product / platformSolution Development : Develop and implement solutions that enhance the functionality and performance of assigned products or platformsCollaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutionsCode / configuration Review and Quality Assurance : Participate in reviews and ensure that solutions meet quality standards and best practicesTroubleshooting and Support : Diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing support and maintenance for existing systemsContinuous Learning : Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in platform solutionsImplement strategies to consolidate and protect IT assetsMaintain inventory of IT assets and related configurationCollaborate closely with Architects and IT staff to drive objectivesEnsure adherence to standards and reference architectures for the domainDevelop / review design artifacts for compliance with architecture directionUpdate product standards versions in assigned domainsDrive technology portfolio management disciplineDirect implementation of technology roadmap initiativesImplement best practices and standardsIdentify and manage technology risksCommunicate clearly and effectively with architecture, project / program managers etc.Provide recommendations to be considered in developing the Technology roadmapReference : 1037507
