Required qualifications :
- Min 6 years with HS Diploma, 4 years with AS / AA degree, or 2 years with BS / BA
- A DoD TS / SCI clearance is required.
- A minimum of 1 years of related experience as a Systems Administrator
- DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II
- Highly desirable : Microsoft Associate level certification
Peraton requires Systems Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position is located in Arlington, VA.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO / J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
Duties include but are not limited to :
Provides support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems.Performs tier one and two network and systems support in accordance with the SIE OPORD.Supports 3 sites. JIATF, Crystal city, and Pentagon, Washington Office. Can work at any of those sites for long term periods.Assists with IT equipment accountability to include the AF 1297 hand receipt process.Ensures incidents and change requests reflecting work are routinely updated to comply with service level agreements.Maintains file servers, network access, documents, analyzes and troubleshoots systems anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.Images workstations and laptops to operational specifications. Tests image to ensure functionality.Studies program operating instructions to determine equipment setup and operations.Monitors the operation of assigned applications and storage devices and determines the point of hardware or software failure.Troubleshoots and configures systems in accordance with standard procedures to continue operations when individual units of a system malfunction.Maintains operating records such as machine performance and production reports.Installs operating system software, patches, and upgrades.Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves system hardware, software, and networking issues.Configures, optimizes, fine-tunes, and monitoring operating system software and hardware.Performs system backups and recovery.Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs).Troubleshoots and proactively resolves technical issues for individual users.Installs, configures and maintains customer desktops and laptop PCs, mobile devices and peripherals, such as printers.Identifies and removes end-of-life and end-of-support equipment and performs data migration to new machines.J-18808-Ljbffr
