Process Commercialization Engineer
About :
A rapidly growing, employee-owned company based in Waterford Works, NJ with over 13 years in business is seeking a Product Development Engineer . This is a hybrid position supporting R&D and production optimization across thermoplastics, injection molding, and metal forming systems.
Offer : Salary range : $100,000-$130,000 depending on experience

Qualifications :
Candidates must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in process design engineering within industrial manufacturing environments.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
Strong knowledge of injection molding, extrusion, heat treatment, welding, and surface finishing processes preferred.
Preferred candidates will have experience with simulation tools such as ANSYS, Moldflow, DEFORM, or HYSYS.
Familiarity with thermodynamics, material flow, and tooling design is expected.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills are essential.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies is preferred.
Responsibilities :
Commercializing widgets. Taking the prototype and getting it manufactured, boxed for inventory, and incorporated into ERP system
Identify vendors to manufacture widgets which will involve occasional travel to vendor sites across the United States
Design and optimize process flow diagrams (PFDs) for new product development.
Conduct simulations and modeling for injection molding, extrusion, stamping, machining, and surface treatment.
Specify and size equipment such as molding machines, presses, CNC systems, dryers, and cooling systems.
Collaborate with internal and external engineering and operations teams to integrate new technologies and troubleshoot processes.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO, and ASTM standards.
Prepare technical documentation including risk assessments, SOPs, and commissioning plans.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and validation processes (IQ / OQ / PQ).
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and production teams.
