Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Location : Waterbury, CT 06708 Unit : Medical / Surgical (Med / Surg) Beds : 30 Shift : Nights, 4 × 12-hour (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM) Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend Contract Duration : 13 weeks Unit Details : Adult and Geriatric patient population Patient Ratios : Nights 1 : 6, Days 1 : 5 Interdisciplinary support : Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Team, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary Documentation System : Cerner Medication System : Omnicell Communication System : SBAR Qualifications : Experience : 1 year (first-time travelers considered) Certifications : BLS (required), NIHSS (preferred) Skills : Med / Surg nursing, IV therapy / Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line / PICC Line Care & Management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Nasal Cannula & Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions Gross Pay : $3100 / Week Additional Information : Candidates without NIHSS certification are still considered if they are open to completing the free class, which we will assist them with .
