- Develop and implement engaging curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of infants and young toddlers.
- Create lesson plans that are individualized for each child, at their skill level.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Provide individualized support for children with special educational needs through early intervention techniques.
- Foster communication skills by encouraging verbal expression and active participation in group activities.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that promotes child welfare and encourages exploration.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns related to their development.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing as necessary to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
- Skills
- Strong experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care and behavior management strategies.
- Experience with special education practices and early intervention methods is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with the High Scope methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.
