Fiscal Manager

An established organization in Kern County is hiring a Fiscal Manager to lead its accounting and finance functions. This role offers pay up to $130,000 annually , an excellent retirement plan, strong benefits, and clear opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities :
Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, and payroll
Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements
Manage audits, reconciliations, and internal controls
Provide financial analysis to support organizational decision-making
Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience, including management responsibilities
Strong knowledge of GAAP and governmental / nonprofit accounting practices
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
