Maintenance Technician- $29.13-$31.21 / hr + $2500 Signing Bonus
POSITION OVERVIEW :
- Provide maintenance service for all plant production and processing equipment to meet established production requirements. Responsible for maintenance of seasonal equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for maintenance of production and processing equipment, refrigeration, boiler room, waste plant, building maintenance, and seasonal preparation. Ensures high quality and safety standards are met.Demonstrates expertise with the maintenance requirement of plant processing, production and seasonal operations through a thorough and continuing evaluation of production, processing and seasonal requirements, techniques, procedures, facilities and equipment.Maintains constant contact with production and processing operators and supervision to obtain maximum machine uptime.Train other mechanics in the proper set-up, adjustment, and maintenance of production, processing and seasonal support equipment and supervise them to accomplish maintenance requirements.Executes preventive maintenance programs and suggests modifications to the Plant Engineer for approval.Recommends and initiates changes to improve equipment operating performance and performs job estimates.Assures that maintenance operations are carried out within established housekeeping and sanitation procedures, and applicable government regulations.Participates in all regular meetings as scheduled.Other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS :
Demonstrated ability to safely work on and around complex, highly automated machinery in a non-temperature regulated environment.Strong troubleshooting, verbal and written communication skills to effectively present to other maintenance supervisors technicians, and operators.Cross-functional demonstrated skills in Electrical, PLC, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Motors, motion control, and mechanical systems.Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma a plus.Proactive and able to work independentlyAble to work all shifts in a 24x 7 operationMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in machine maintenance and repair is required, specifically within a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
