Our client is changing the electric vehicle charging game with their hardware and software platform. Their cloud platform allows charging station owners to price-set, manage port access, collect energy use data, and more. They are seeking a business-minded, highly motivated Legal Counsel to join their growing team. This in-house role will play a critical part in supporting the company's rapid expansion by leading complex contract negotiations, advising on corporate governance and compliance matters, and providing practical, solution-oriented legal counsel to leadership and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and brings a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.

This is an in-person role, reporting to the office in Santa Monica (Los Angeles) Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities :

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including enterprise contracts, vendor agreements, and partnership deals
• Advise on corporate governance and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
• Develop innovative, business-minded approaches to contract negotiation and deal structures
• Provide guidance on regulatory, labor, and compliance matters relevant to the EV charging and technology industries
• Stay current with evolving legislation, regulations, and industry standards that impact the company's operations in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Executive teams to support strategic initiatives and enable business growth
• Manage contract lifecycle processes and maintain organized documentation and tracking systems
• Support additional legal projects as assigned by the executive team

Qualifications :

Compensation : Targeting a base salary of $165-185k
