Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com / en). We are currently looking for a Survey Manager to join our team for a Highway Construction Project in Charlotte, North Carolina

Project : Highway Construction. Estimated duration : 3 years. Summary : Lead and coordinate all surveying activities across highway and roadway construction projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with design and quality standards. Supervise and mentor field survey teams, manage data collection and processing, and collaborate closely with engineering, design, and construction departments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee all surveying operations on site, including topographic, layout, and as-built surveys.
• Review and interpret design drawings, models, and project specifications to ensure precise execution in the field.
• Manage survey data using Civil 3D and ensure seamless integration with the design and construction teams.
• Coordinate survey teams, assign tasks, and verify deliverables to maintain accuracy and productivity.
• Ensure the correct use and maintenance of surveying instruments and equipment, particularly Leica and Trimble systems.
• Provide training, guidance, and technical support to junior surveyors and field engineers.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and project managers to resolve discrepancies and validate survey results.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with project quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Prepare and maintain survey documentation, reports, and as-built records for project handover.
