Warehouse Floater

PrideStaff is currently seeking an energetic and self-motivated Warehouse Floater located in Charlotte, NC. The client is a leading industrial distributor and fabricator of specialty piping products. This is a hands-on role supporting both shipping / receiving operations and pipe fabrication shop. Location : Charlotte, NC 28214 Pay : Starting at $16.00 / hr. Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 AM 5 : 30 PM

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist with fabrication work using bandsaws, threading machines, milling machines, lathes, grinders, hydraulic equipment (Enerpac), and sandblasting tools.
  • Handle shipping and receiving duties via UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.
  • Learn and operate forklifts (training provided after initial period).
  • Perform general warehouse duties including material handling and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Potential opportunity to advance into a sales role for candidates who show initiative.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Mechanically inclined and enjoys working with hands-on tools and equipment.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Previous stick welding experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Must be comfortable working with fiberglass materials (not suitable for those with skin sensitivities).
  • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (this is a hot, dirty, and physical job).

    • Requirements for Trial Work Day :

  • Candidates must pass a clean drug screen and background check.
  • Dress code : Clean T-shirt (no holes or profanity), long pants (no holes or sweatpants), and steel-toe boots or shoes.

    • Interview Process : Instead of a traditional interview, qualified candidates may be invited for a working interview (full or half day) to experience the role firsthand. If the first day goes well for both parties, ongoing employment may continue.

    Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $16.00 - $16.00
