About The Role
Abnormal AI is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for the Multi-Product Platform (MPP) team. In this pivotal role, you'll drive the development and scaling of our products and platforms while building a high-performing engineering team. In this pivotal role, you'll lead the engineering team that serves as a force multiplier for our entire organisation. As Engineering Manager of our Configuration Platform team, you'll guide exceptional engineers to create and transform systems that accelerate innovation for hundreds of developers and impact millions of users. You'll guide the team architecting the nervous system of our engineering infrastructure while developing world-class talent—shaping how we ship, scale, and deliver value to customers across the entire engineering organisation.
Your Mission
- Lead the planning, execution and delivery of new features in existing products and new products.
- Build reusable, scalable, cloud-native solutions for our internal stakeholders and customers.
- Architect a low-latency, high-throughput platform and consumer-facing products that will safeguard every outgoing email now and messages / information of our customers in the future.
As the team leader, you'll be responsible for achieving outcomes and the autonomy to chart the course, drive execution, and build the team needed for success. The ideal candidate thrives in a distributed team environment and has experience leading full-stack teams in enterprise settings.

Team Building & Talent DevelopmentDefine team requirements aligned with long-term objectivesCreate and execute recruiting plans to attract top engineering talentDevelop effective onboarding programs for new team membersFoster a healthy team culture with high satisfaction and low attritionProvide coaching and actionable feedback to support career growthActively manage performance, addressing both under and over-performanceProduct Delivery & ExecutionDrive execution plans to deliver on roadmap commitmentsCollaborate with Product Managers and Technical Leads on requirements and solutionsEnforce technical design standards and project plansEstablish and track operational metrics (uptime, SLAs, quality)Implement best practices for software development and team processesLeadership & Strategic DirectionTranslate long-term objectives into executable team goalsAssess the feasibility of organisational strategiesPartner with cross-functional leaders to develop quarterly OKRs and roadmapsDrive continuous improvement in tooling and processesBalance immediate needs with long-term product visionQualifications
Required2+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 6+ engineers4+ years of product development leadership (as lead engineer or manager)5+ years of experience as an individual contributorProven track record in technical recruiting and team buildingConsistently high standards for project execution and qualityBS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or a related fieldPreferredExperience with our technology stack (AWS, Kubernetes, Python / Django, React, Postgres, Go)Background in cybersecurity or data protectionExperience with enterprise SaaS productsAbnormal AI is building the next generation of cybersecurity products.
