Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain casting furnaces.
- Coordinate job numbers with the correct alloy, weight, and temperature per PMS.
- Ensure charges are properly identified and matched to appropriate numbers and lot routers.
- Transport ingots of alloy to the work unit using a hoist and load into the chamber / charge box as needed.
- Handle molds from pre-heat furnace to casting furnace.
- Monitor gauges to ensure correct settings, pour speed, and crucible size for the melting process.
- Determine accurate pump-down time to prescribed vacuum levels.
- Replace crucibles and pack crucibles using grog according to best practices.
- Record temperatures and signal team operators when to remove molds from pre-heat.
- Clean and remove metal from splash guards, crucible blocks, and furnaces.
- Adhere to all company attendance policies and overtime requirements as needed.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
Resume required for review and consideration.High school diploma or GED required.Minimum 2 years of continuous related manufacturing experience or training; recent graduates may provide a letter of recommendation.Problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.Availability for all shifts (including 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts) and ability to work overtime; flexibility is essential.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.Access to export-controlled items; employment offers conditioned on ability to obtain access.Preferred Qualifications :
Basic understanding of industrial and mechanical drawings.Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions and apply common sense to standard situations.Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized contexts.About the Team / About Us
