Solutions Architect

Overview

San Francisco Compute Company is hiring a Solutions Architect to work at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer success — helping users design, deploy, and scale compute solutions on our marketplace. You’ll collaborate with providers to optimize infrastructure performance and guide customers through technical integrations that turn their workloads into successful, repeatable deployments.

You’ll translate customer requirements into technical architectures, build prototypes, and partner with engineering to shape features that make compute orchestration simpler and more reliable. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving deep into systems, explaining complexity clearly, and connecting the dots between user needs and technical capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement compute architectures tailored to customer workloads.
• Advise on scaling, performance tuning, and cost optimization across providers.
• Collaborate with engineering to refine APIs, deployment tooling, and documentation.
• Support customers during onboarding and troubleshooting, translating issues into product improvements.
• Create reference implementations and internal playbooks for repeatable deployment patterns.
• Contribute to internal architecture reviews and roadmap planning.
