POSITION : Dental Assistant

SCHEDULE : 10 Hours Per Week

FACILITY : Western Virginia Regional Jail

LOCATION : Salem, VA

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Dentist, the Dental Assistant performs non-professional work assisting the Dentist during examination and treatment of patients and in the routine handling of instruments and supplies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The following requirements list the minimum to qualify. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

LICENSING : None required. Registered with Virginia Board of Dentistry as a Dental Assistant II preferred.

CERTIFICATION : Current CPR Certification

EDUCATION : High School Diploma or GED equivalent

EXPERIENCE : Experience working in a dental setting and / or correctional health care setting preferred.
