Responsibilities Work in an Emergency Department at a short-term acute care hospital that is a Level I Trauma Center Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Average patient ratios are 1 : 6 for both day and night shifts Uses Epic charting system Required to work every other weekend Must float within scope to meet facility needs, with potential for cross-training and floating to other campuses Travelers are not assigned to trauma / rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units Responsibilities include providing emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a high-acuity trauma environment Cross-training and floating between campuses may be required based on facility needs First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Up to 7 days of requested time off are auto-approved; more than 7 days requires approval Pre-start modules must be completed and will vary by specialty Travelers are required to participate in emergency response activities such as natural disaster response Scrub and dress code details will be provided upon assignment Requirements Active CT or compact RN license or eligible and applied prior to start Current TNCC, ACLS, and BLS certifications required Minimum 2 years ED experience preferred, will consider 1.5 years with Level I trauma or travel experience Experience in large hospital trauma centers required Epic EMR experience preferred Must provide at least 1 professional reference Annual flu vaccine required without exceptions COVID-19 vaccine and booster required, religious or medical exemptions only Returning travelers must have been gone at least 2 years No candidates with prior disciplinary actions on nursing license Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel assignment Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622261.
