We are looking for a Tax Supervisor who shares our passion for delivering high-quality service and building lasting client partnerships.
As a member of the Ellin & Tucker tax team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other tax professionals in delivering the highest quality service to our clients, and you will interact directly with our clients regularly to better understand and serve their needs.
You will also be given the tools to grow and develop your career with support and mentoring from more experienced Certified Public Accountants in the accounting, auditing, and tax areas of Ellin & Tucker, as well as through your regular participation in internal and external Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programs. Our ideal candidate should have 4 years or more of experience in public tax accounting.
What You’ll Do :
- Supervises the review and preparation of basic and complex individual and business returns
- Prepare and review advanced and complex tax returns for a diverse range of entities, including high-net-worth individuals, S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Perform advanced-level tax research projects and compose comprehensive memoranda
- Proactively interact with key clients’ management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements
- Apply functional knowledge to understand potential tax issues and participate in tax planning
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as well as independently on both non-recurring and ongoing projects
- Act as project manager for special projects at the request of the management team
- Manage, mentor, and train Tax Associates and Senior Associates
- Develop and edit correspondence and other client deliverables as needed
- Participate in networking and business development activities on behalf of the firm
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
What We’re Looking For :
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting or other related fieldsFour years or more of tax and client consulting experienceCPA or parts of the CPA exam passed is preferredStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and within a team environmentPrevious tax return preparation experience is requiredAbility to supervise other tax staff and lead client tax projectsAbility to consistently exercise good judgment in dealing with a variety of situations and issuesWhat You’ll Gain :
