Job Purpose

Assist the Nursing Program Director and other faculty members in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum; to develop strategies to teach the curriculum; and assist in the implementation of the course through teaching, supervising, and provision of academic advisement of students. Will complete clinical at local hospitals (Bridgeport) depending on which area is local to employee.

Qualifications

The Instructor must meet the following requirements :

• Have a graduate degree with a major in nursing; or
• Have a bachelors degree with a major in nursing and :

Be enrolled in a graduate program within one year of employment as a faculty member; or

requirements of the Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities :

Promote positive and productive relationships with service area hospitals, clinics, businesses, industries, and agencies.

Clinical Instruction

While Nursing Clinical Faculty is responsible for fulfilling all primary responsibilities listed above to achieve the immediate goals of the campus, he / she is responsible to meet all organizational goals. As such adjustments or additions to these responsibilities and the methods by which they are achieved may be required by management to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency across departments, campuses, and the organization as a whole.
