About The Position

Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Profession : Therapy / Rehabilitation

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8

Experience : Minimum 2 years of acute therapy experience required

License : State licensed, CCC-SLP

Certifications : BLS, Vital Stim

Must-Have : Familiarity with EPIC charting system, previous travel experience

Description :

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.

State licensure is mandatory.

Experience with vital stimulation techniques is essential.

A minimum of 2 years of acute therapy experience is necessary.

Previous experience with the EPIC charting system is required.

Travel experience is essential for this position.

Responsibilities will include conducting assessments and evaluations.

The SLP will assess dysphagia using bedside swallow evaluations and modified barium swallow studies.

Experience in providing therapy for patients with developmental delays is preferred.

Knowledge of communication strategies for individuals with dysarthria and other speech disorders is important.

Skills in utilizing the Frazier Free Water Protocol and managing diet modification orders are needed.

The role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to create plans of care.

The SLP will provide therapy for a diverse patient age group including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Expertise in using various assessment tools such as the Boston Aphasia Evaluation and Western Aphasia Battery is beneficial.

Candidates must have the ability to implement interventions for patients with traumatic brain injuries and voice disorders.

Experience working with tracheostomy patients is preferred.

Familiarity with ventilator-dependent and assisted patients is important.

The role may include supporting patients with hearing impairments and fluency disorders.

Candidates should be prepared to deliver acute care interventions in an inpatient setting.
