Funeral Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all elements of funeral services, including visitations, memorials, burials, and cremations, ensuring they align with the family's wishes and cultural traditions.
  • Consult with families to arrange personalized funeral services, offering support and guidance throughout the planning process.
  • Manage the preparation of the deceased, including dressing, casketing, and, if licensed, embalming.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation, such as death certificates and permits, are accurately completed and filed in compliance with Ohio state regulations.
  • Provide aftercare support to families, connecting them with grief resources and support services as needed.

Qualifications

  • Valid Ohio Funeral Director license.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in funeral service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide comfort and guidance to grieving families.
  • Proficiency in funeral service-related software and basic office applications.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
