ASRC Federal is currently seeking a Library Manager to join our growing team in the Research Park Triangle area where we support the Environmental Protection Agency on a nationwide program that provides Records Management and Library Sciences services. Requirements :

MLIS / MLS and seven (7) years of experience and relevant management experience in a library setting that conducts research.

Must have a broad understanding of the work required in each of the tasks outlined as well as the demonstrated ability to lead a team of professional librarians to deliver excellent services to the customer community.

Experience writing reports to management, managing budgets and workload / work resources.

Experience in outreach, training and capturing metrics / statistics of all services provided.

Ability to pass a government background investigation (Permanent Residency or US Citizenship is required.).

Responsibilities :

Serves as administrative head of the library and principal liaison with the client.

Creates and edits reports to management and captures metrics of all services provided to the federal customer.

Provides training, outreach and marketing as needed.

Provides oversight and contributes in performing reference services; user training; web site maintenance; collection development and maintenance; circulation management, inter-library loan, cataloging and other information services.
