Tax Manager – Public Accounting

Hybrid - Milwaukee

Are you a driven tax professional looking to step into a leadership role with a growing public accounting firm? Our client, a well-respected CPA firm, is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team and play a key role in serving a diverse client base while mentoring staff and shaping the future of the practice.

What You’ll Do

Lead and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.

Research and resolve advanced tax issues while ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.

Manage, train, and mentor staff accountants, reviewing their work and supporting professional development.

Assist with tax planning strategies and provide advisory services to clients.

Partner with firm leadership on process improvements and special projects.

What We’re Looking For

CPA designation required.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Taxation a plus.

5+ years of progressive tax experience within public accounting.

Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.
