Arizona Licensed Inpatient Coder

A company is looking for a Facility Inpatient Complex Senior Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and procedural information

Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring completeness of records

Provide coding quality assurance and serve as a subject-matter expert for inpatient coding

Required Qualifications

High school diploma / GED or equivalent with specialized training in medical record keeping

Active certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or equivalent

Five or more years of inpatient coding experience in an Acute Care facility

Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding principles

Ability to work effectively in a remote setting using coding software and office applications
