Pay Rate : Rate may vary due to local or non-local contracted rates : $55-62 combined Rate of pay. ( Pay packages are a combination of taxable hourly rates, tax free allowances for travel, housing, and meal allowances) ( Rates are subject to change via client need)
Job Summary :
The Pediatric RN is responsible for providing compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents. This role includes assessing patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, educating families, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to promote the best outcomes for young patients.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform age-appropriate assessments on pediatric patients.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment.
Educate patients and their families on managing conditions, medications, and health promotion.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
Coordinate care with pediatricians, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
Respond to pediatric emergencies and perform CPR or other life-saving interventions as needed.
Provide emotional support to patients and families during stressful or traumatic events.
Ensure infection control and safety standards are upheld.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training as needed.
Qualifications :
Education : Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN / BSN)
License : Active RN license in [State]
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
Experience : [1+ years] of pediatric or general nursing experience preferred
