Overview

Google's Trust and Safety team defends users by fighting web abuse and fraud across Google products. The Ad Traffic Quality team analyzes billions of events to stop motivated fraudsters and to help users, advertisers, publishers, and Google monetize the internet safely and usefully. This role requires big-picture thinking, strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration with developers and Product Managers, and the ability to handle abuse and fraud cases quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced statistical methods to complex data sets to analyze the impact of abuse on the Mobile ads ecosystem.
• Perform fraud and spam investigations using various data sources; identify product vulnerabilities and drive anti-abuse experiments to prevent abuse.
• Work with engineers and stakeholders to improve workflows via process improvements, automation, and anti-abuse system creation. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Trust and Safety teams to prevent abuse by changing policies and closing product loopholes.
• Lead and conduct complex fraud investigations using data; identify gaps in current defenses, explore / new signals, and develop scalable enforcement solutions for non-compliant publisher inventory with a focus on Android.
• Review or be exposed to sensitive content as part of investigations.

Compensation and location

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
