Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education teaching position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Des Plaines, Illinois. This contract role is for the duration of the normal school year (NSY).

Responsibilities include managing a K-12 caseload, with specific student assignments to be discussed during the interview process. The role focuses on supporting students with mild to moderate special education needs, requiring individualized instructional strategies and collaboration with educational staff and families to promote student success.

Qualifications :

• Valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) certification
• Active Illinois teaching licensure
• Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
