Responsibilities

Established in 1986, Anchor Hospital specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for teens, adults and seniors. Our mental health facility in Atlanta, Georgia is located on a secluded, 55-acre campus, less than three miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and is accredited by the Joint Commission.

To assist the professional nurse in performing direct and indirect nursing activities to patients of various adult age groups. Provides for the general comfort, safety and well-being of the patients and supports the general functions of the nursing units.

• Unit Safety Checks / Patient Observation Checks
• Adult Bed Bath / showers
• Adult Bed Shampoo
• Assist patient with ADLs, ambulation : turning, positioning in bed, feeding, grooming, toileting
• Assist pt. w / Bed Pan, bedside commode, up to BR
• Backrubs
• Quality Control Checks on glucometers, refrigerator temps
• Perform finger stick glucometer testing as ordered
• Recording Intake & Output (I&O) (OB)
• Transporting patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed
• Urine specimen collection
• Vital Signs
• Weighting Patients on Upright scale
• Maintain all competencies
• Other duties as assigned.
