The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Care Center plays a crucial role in supervising and directing nursing care, ensuring that all practices align with state and federal regulations while collaborating with physicians and healthcare staff to provide exceptional patient care.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n

  • Direct and supervise nursing care on the unit, following policies and procedures to ensure quality patient outcomes.\n
  • Conduct patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, and manage nursing assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).\n
  • Maintain thorough documentation of patient care, changes in conditions, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.\n
  • Act as a patient advocate, responding to emergencies with efficiency and diplomacy, while fostering teamwork among residents, families, and healthcare providers.\n
  • Participate in care planning meetings and provide clinical supervision to ensure the highest standards of care.\n
  • Perform basic nursing skills proficiently, including the administration of medications, coordinating admissions and discharges, and completing necessary paperwork.\n
  • Encourage a collaborative and supportive team environment through effective communication and interdisciplinary relationships.\n
  • Ensure compliance with infection control practices and safety policies while observing and honoring resident rights at all times.\n\nQualifications : \n
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Science is preferred.\n
  • A Connecticut Registered Nurse license is required.\n
  • Experience in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric nursing is preferred, with at least one year of work experience being advantageous.\n\nSpecial Skills : \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain high standards of care.\n
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and all healthcare team members.\n
