Position : Ship Fitter

Job Location : Harvey, LA

Hutco Branch : Harvey, LA

Rate of Pay : $24.00 to $26.00 per hour (based on experience)

Hutco Inc. is seeking first-class ship fitters for shipyards located in Harvey, LA. Looking for first-class ship fitters only with shipyard experience. A test will be conducted on-site to assess your capabilities. It primarily repairs work on barges and boats. NO TWIC card is required.

Description : Lays out and fabricates metal structural parts, such as plates, bulkheads, and frames, and braces them in position within the ship's hull for welding.

Requirements :

• Minimum 2 years experience as a 1st class ship fitter
• Outfitting experience
• Must know Ship terminology
• Must lay out and fabricate parts for ships
• Must be able to burn, wash, and bevel with a hand torch
• Must pass a drug test and physical
• Must be able to work all shifts
