job_description.job_card.job_descriptionOperate and maintain wastewater lagoons, UV disinfection, and odor control systems. Perform sampling, monitoring, and in-house lab testing for wastewater quality. Support other compliance programs : air quality, stormwater management, spill prevention, and waste disposal. Operate equipment such as forklifts, street sweepers, and aeration systems. Conduct EPA Method 9 visible emissions testing and help enforce dust control measures. Assist with safe handling, labeling, and disposal of chemicals, oils, and waste streams. Maintain accurate QA / QC records and regulatory compliance documentation. Serve as lab backup for tank readings when needed. Required : Nebraska Class I Wastewater Operator Certification. Physically able to climb stairs / ladders and lift up to 50 lbs. Mechanically inclined with basic troubleshooting / maintenance skills. Preferred : prior lab or forklift experience, pesticide applicator license. Self-motivated, safety-conscious, and able to manage multiple priorities.
