Responsibilities Work in an acute care Emergency Department setting Serves a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, and behavioral health cases Level 3 trauma center with dedicated triage area, psych hold rooms, and overflow psych space separate from the main ED Utilizes Epic and Pyxis for charting and medication management Shift schedule may include day, mid, or night shifts with rotations in 4-week blocks and assignments to any shift with advance notice Required to work every other weekend No on-call or floating required Spacelabs monitors in each room with a dedicated monitor tech 24 / 7 At least two days of unit-specific orientation provided before starting rotation Responsibilities include managing ER triage, acute care, and behavioral health emergencies Interdisciplinary support from dedicated charge nurses, house supervisors, ED techs, and sitters Respiratory therapists available with vent, CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ABG capability In-house security and separate ER x-ray / CT facilities enhance safety and efficiency Both nurses and phlebotomy staff perform blood draws Scrub attire may be any color; uniforms are not required Housing in the area may be challenging—candidates should arrange accommodations in advance Holiday coverage required, with at least one major holiday off per contract Requirements Active RN license required Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Department experience Current certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS, TNCC Previous travel assignment completion required; first-time travelers are not eligible Experience with trauma, mental health, substance use, and complex medical emergencies Experience using Epic EMR required Ability to work all available shift types as needed Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-586430.
