Our client is a family-owned builder / developer recognized for delivering high-profile multifamily communities along the East Coast. Their portfolio includes large-scale, ground-up projects of 150+ units and $40M+ in value, all built in-house. With over 5,000 units completed and 1,000+ more in the pipeline, they're experiencing strong, steady growth and are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of multifamily projects across the DMV region.
Job Description
The Project Manager - Multifamily Construction (Builder / Developer) will be responsible for :
- Managing all phases of ground-up multifamily projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Coordinating with in-house development, design, and property management teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work to meet deadlines and goals
- Overseeing subcontractor selection, bidding, and contract negotiation for top-quality partnerships
- Monitoring daily construction activities with focus on safety, quality, and compliance
- Leading weekly project meetings and reporting progress to leadership for informed decision-making
- Reviewing and approving RFIs, submittals, and change orders to maintain project accuracy
- Ensuring adherence to building codes, permitting processes, and inspections throughout the project
- Resolving on-site issues and delays proactively to keep projects on track
- Supporting project turnover and transition to property management for smooth handoff

The Successful Applicant
The Project Manager - Multifamily Construction (Builder / Developer) will have :
5+ years managing multifamily construction projects, with ground-up experience preferredProven track record overseeing projects valued at $20M+Strong expertise in construction processes, scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project), and budgeting toolsAbility to read, interpret, and apply construction drawings and specificationsDemonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skillsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)Experience collaborating with in-house development teams is a plusWhat's on Offer
