Job Summary
Lead and support the Anchor vision of creating a world class Forming department through the development and execution of strategies, plans, tactics and actions to improve the Machine Repair department's "People, Process, Equipment and Data" to achieve Anchor's desired results.
Main Position Responsibilities
- Partner with the EHS team and plants to establish Safety initiatives and housekeeping expectations and to ensure adherence to maximize employee safety and morale.
- Ensure the Machine Repair operations have appropriate processes via TOPs, SOPs, Work Instructions, etc. in place to operate at a high level of repeatable performance.
- Ensure Anchor Machine Repair standards exist, are in place and are being adhered to, along with sustainment processes including oversight audits to achieve quality and timely activities.
- Provide Machine Repair technical assistance as needed on a diverse range of equipment and operating parameters.
- Develop strategies and plans around the utilization of data to track, trend and measure pertinent KPIs for developing improvement initiatives and continuous improvement for the Machine Repair departments.
- Develop long-term strategies, goals and objectives and action plans regarding Machine Repair departments to meet or exceed Anchor Safety, Quality, Production & Cost objectives.
- Teach, coach and implement industry best practices across One Anchor sites and create SQDC standards that can be duplicated and scaled across all sites.
- Develop or ensure programs are in place to provide continuous training and development of personnel, both hourly and salary, within Machine Repair departments.
- Develop and execute plans to strengthen HQ team capabilities as needed.
- Partner with Reliability Teams and others as needed to ensure preventive maintenance and spare / variable part strategies and schedules are created and implemented for all forming departments utilizing Machine Repair across Anchor Glass.
- Develop the vision and assist in the execution of long and short term capital equipment strategies and plans for the long term reliability of Anchor IS machines and other forming equipment.
- Develop strategies, plans and team abilities around machine repairs to reduce breakdowns and repeat incidents.
- Utilize HQ and other resources as needed to support plant repairs or other technical support for ongoing production opportunities.
- Provide status updates as needed to Anchor leadership teams as required.
