Director of Infrastructure - Corporate

Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Information Technology, the Director of Infrastructure is responsible for but is not limited to enterprise management, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of cross-functional processes related to all IT infrastructure and the staff assigned for support. Monitors emerging standards for new technology opportunities and technology trends. Responsible for the technical landscape and production operational support spanning the entire life cycle of the strategic portfolio. Identifies stakeholders needs and supports company growth by providing flexible and standard solutions based on security and compliance guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Develops and utilizes employee performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Develops system metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and performance of Summit's enterprise architecture.
  • Develops and manages a robust enterprise architecture.
  • Implements technologies such as MS Teams, cloud file sharing, SDWAN, network monitoring and alerting.
  • Effectively manage internal and external staffing and resources.
  • Systematically identifies gaps between current state and optimal state of systems and processes and work to close the gap.
  • Ensures internal customer satisfaction by maximizing system uptime and proactive controls.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and translate requirements into technical implementations.
  • Leads governance and automation efforts to minimize manual work and ensure transparency in all aspects of the IT infrastructure ecosystem.
  • Provides guidance to technical teams regarding architectural and procedural best practices.
  • Directs the design, development and implementation of IT standards and tools assuring alignment with the organization's needs.
  • Provides leadership to team by communicating vision, strategies, and objectives to employees.
  • Prepares and administers performance evaluations and recommends salary adjustments for staff.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity.
  • Oversees development of scalable technology solutions that can be used to bring numerous new facilities and outpatient locations online.
  • Develops processes, data, and / or tools to monitor and proactively manage Active Directory.
  • Reviews current structure, correct design and or function where needed.
  • Develops operational dashboard to proactively monitor usage, performance, and cost of SaaS, Azure and on-prem data center systems.
  • Develops DR, IR, BC plans as they relate to infrastructure and end user compute systems. Includes test processes, procedures, and regular cadence.

Leadership Functions :

  • Identifies and prioritizes issues of importance, including those priority issues as set for by leadership. Collaborates with department leaders and corporate executive leaders, as needed.
  • Communicates instructions, expectations and timelines clearly and concisely.
  • Manages staff scheduling to maintain productivity levels, curtailing unnecessary overtime and / or excessive staff work hours.
  • Maintains accountability expectations for self and staff in all areas of job performance.
  • Engages staff in quality and safety basics to ensure sustained, measurable compliance.
  • Identifies staff educational needs and ensures they are addressed with education programs that are attended by staff.
  • Hold staff accountable for non-compliance and safety concerns, as well as attendance, following policies, behavior, and adherence to the code of conduct.
  • Education / Experience / Skill Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related Information Technology field required.
  • Minimum of five years' experience as a Director of Infrastructure in a medium to large scale distributed organization required.
  • Extensive experience with data center operations, networking, telephony, disaster recovery, data security, Active Directory, enterprise infrastructure design, SDWAN technologies, network monitoring and alerting, security camera systems, Office 365, and MS Teams.
  • Experience with M&A activity as well as new location buildouts. Must have extensive experience with measuring team and system performance with metrics and KPIs.
  • Technical Requirements :

  • Strong experience managing a M365 tenant, including Entra, Exchange Online, MS Teams, Sharepoint, Active Directory, user licensing, and InTune including the configuration of tenant security / compliance features and protections.
  • Experience managing an on-premises Active Directory environment in a distributed network.
  • Experience managing and configuring a Microsoft Azure tenant.
  • Experience with Windows server administration, monitoring, and management including basic administration functions for SQL servers.
  • Experience with MS endpoint monitoring and management.
  • Experience with creating and managing an MS endpoint patch management solution.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Familiar with the use of MS AutoPilot for the deployment and configuration of MS endpoints.
  • Experience supporting distributed enterprise networks including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless networking.
  • Experience with Fortinet firewalls.
  • Experience with Meraki switches and wireless access points.
  • Licenses / Designations / Certifications :

  • Professional and / or technical certifications preferred.
  • Supervisory Requirements :

  • Three or more years of related management experience required, health care experience preferred.
