Responsibilities Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a hospital surgical environment Care provided to pediatric through geriatric patient populations Typical schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts, 6 : 00am to 3 : 00pm, with after-hours as needed Role involves direct surgical patient care, surgical equipment assistance, and inventory maintenance Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible Responsibilities include communicating with the surgical team, monitoring patients, and assisting with patient positioning during procedures Basic computer skills and additional language abilities are desirable Reports to the Surgical Services Director Documented references from recent management / supervisors may be required for consideration Requirements Active RN license in Texas or compact state with no pending status Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required Minimum of two years acute care experience in a U.S. hospital required Expertise in Operating Room and PACU required Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS are required CPI certification is mandated by position Ability to read and communicate effectively in English is necessary Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627337.
