Position : Manufacturing Associate (Draw, Glass, Respool, Ring Marking, Measurements).

Reports To : Operations and designated supervisor.

Duration : Full time permanent.

Purpose : To provided support to the Operations process area.

12 Hour Shifts 2-2-3

Position Description :

  • Ability to safely work around hot glass, sharp glass, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate Hydrogen / Oxygen hand torches and burners within safety guidelines and training specifications.
  • Transfer hot glass using proper carts and techniques as trained from Standard Operating procedures.
  • Accurate record keeping.
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA regulated safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines and ALL mandatory PPE.
  • Ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems
  • Accurately run production health reports
  • Retrieving preforms and creating barcode labels.
  • Assist in handling glass preforms weighing up to 100lbs safely as a team.
  • Ability to work at heights (elevation of approximately 50 feet) (Draw Process Area).
  • Prepare preforms for draw towers as instructed by Standard Operating procedures.
  • Safely Lift and manage hot glass.
  • Use proper loading equipment.
  • Clean and maintain draw towers according to written specifications.
  • Tower operation and troubleshooting.
  • Attend Tier 1 turnover meetings and communication meetings.
  • Ability to obtain certification after completion of training and evaluation.
  • Must Champion exceptional housekeeping & 5S in all areas of the factory.
  • Ability to stoop, bend at the waist, stand, and sit as needed to reach product while working (up to 12 hours).
  • Ability to have full range of motion in shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers for manipulation of product and work equipment.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. on your own.
  • Must be compliance to all safety, PPE, and regulatory requirements deemed necessary by position.
  • Willingness to cross train in different areas of the facility as based on the needs of the business.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.

Education : Required :

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience :

  • Manufacturing experience, preferred.
  • Welding experience, preferred.
  • Ability to pass the Work Keys testing with a Silver or above upon hiring.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the background check and pre-employment drug testing.
  • Skills / Attributes :

  • Safety conscious.
  • Able to read a metric ruler and other measuring devices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail and Quality orientated.
  • Able to think quickly and safely.
  • Based on the safety requirements for the position, operator must be able to safely maneuver in all functions of the position without assistance (unless approved by ADAA).
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn specialized applications.
  • Good Organizational skills.
  • Motivated team player.
  • Self-managed work style, with attention to details and understanding of manufacturing principles.
