Compensation : Starting at $16.00 per hour

Schedule : Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9p.m., Monday-Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Availability of two weekends per month is required, three is preferred. Average hours per week is 15-20

Responsibilities :

• Communicate with leadership regarding encounters and investigations
• Maintain a professional relationship with local authorities and law enforcement agencies
• Collaborate with law enforcement and other local retailers to identify organized retail crime threats
• Assist leadership with cash handling and transfers
• Observe customers and associates for potential acts of theft or fraud
• Taking appropriate action to prevent theft, apprehending individuals engaged in theft activity when prevention is not effective
• Conducting surveillance and apprehension of external theft suspects in compliance with company ethical standards and apprehension guidelines
• Monitor video via CCTV and conduct on-site interviews
• Maintaining all apprehension and investigation records according to company standards
• Developing and maintaining knowledge and use of CCTV surveillance equipment
• Assisting in monitoring store compliance with company policies and procedures relating to theft deterrence, safety, and operational controls, as assigned by the supervisor
• Maintain a high visible deterrent to crime and positively influence the security incident rate as well as assist with inventory controls

Requirements :

Education & Experience : High School Diploma / GED College graduate preferred

Proven track record of strong communication and organization skills

Preference for candidates with prior Loss prevention (2-3 years)

Currently certified or willing to become certified in CPR and OC (Oleoresin Capsicum aka pepper spray) foam deployment

Schedule : Ability to work nights, weekends, and / or early morning hours based on business needs.

Physical Requirements / Lifting Requirements : Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push / pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
