ABOUT THE POSITION
Busy property management office seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and hard-working Assistant Property Manager for our multi-family community in Riverdale, GA!
The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for the financial operations, promotes quality customer service, and adheres to all established policies and procedures to ensure all Fair Housing laws are followed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Batch and deposit all payments made to the property daily
- Consistently communicate with leaseholders (including guarantors) via call / email on any outstanding payment issues
- File and manage collections accounts and communicate with past residents who owe a balance to obtain payment
- File and manage landlord / tenant complaints
- Track and code invoices for the Property Manager’s approval
- Support the leasing team with leasing initiatives, prospect contacts, processing applications, and executing prospect tours when needed
- Assist the Property Manager with move-out inspections and deposit accounting
- Make recommendations on opportunities to maximize rent and other income
- Maintain access control systems including gates and key cards
- Manage capital improvement spreadsheet to track all apartment upgrades
- Maintain accurate and complete resident files and records
- Understand and comply with Fair Housing laws and standards
- Support the overall efforts of the community’s site team
- Provide daily feedback to the Property Manager
- Provide world class customer service
- Maintain open communication with community staff and encourage teamwork
- Attend and participate in training programs as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or 1-2 years related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Strong organizational and communication skills – ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.Exemplary professional conduct and customer service.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency in online / technological systems.Proficiency in the use of Yardi Voyager preferred.Must complete and pass Fair Housing training (provided).GENERAL INFORMATION
